Q: What happens when APW's city directors from around the country get together?


A: A weekend full of good ideas, inspirational moments, new friendships...and most importantly, EXCITING CHANGES for all of you!

During the first weekend of March, APW's leadership team from all nine of our cities gathered together in Utah for a leadership retreat. We spent four days learning from each other, discussing goals for the organization, and identifying methods to continue improving our program. We've previously hinted at major changes to our core curriculum, and at our retreat, staff were able to view the curriculum's new interactive components and content--we can say with confidence au pairs are going to love the new changes! Seeing all of our passionate, dedicated, and capable team members together was a reminder why we are able to offer the highest quality weekend programs for au pairs: our directors and instructors are incredible! (And sometimes silly, as you'll see in the picture below!)

What changes can you expect? New classes and experiential activities will be added, pre- and post- assignments will be more streamlined, and existing classes will be updated to better suit the needs of our students. Some of these changes are already being piloted in select cities around the country, and they will be adopted in all cities by the end of the year.
