San Diego's nickname is "America's Finest City" - take a class here to find out why! With sunny, warm weather year-round and plenty of beaches, parks and cultural history to enjoy, San Diego has something for everyone. During the four day course, students will visit and learn about California history in Old Town, as well as explore Balboa Park, the largest urban cultural park in North America. Students will also spend time at the world-famous La Jolla beaches, visit downtown San Diego's beautiful waterfront, and learn about the city's military history with a visit to the USS Midway.

Costs and Educational Hours
Receive 60 or 72 educational hours (equivalent to 6 credits) for the 4-day Make a Difference & Discover course at an all-inclusive price of $649. This price includes tuition and registration, course materials, educational excursions including activities and transportation during class hours, and six meals.
Note: Hours include pre-weekend assignments, post-weekend assignments, and a course evaluation. Check with your au pair agency regarding hours and credits, as requirements vary.
Classes will be held at the following times:
Friday: (Check-in from 11:00 a.m. - 11:55 a.m.) 12 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Sunday: 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Monday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Attendance is mandatory beginning on Friday, with check-in from 11:00 a.m. - 11:55 a.m. and classes starting at 12:00 pm, and does not end until Monday at 4:00 p.m. If you are late to class or leave early on Monday, you will not be eligible to receive your completion letter. Travel arrangements or work commitments are not accepted as excuses for missing class hours.

Parking is free in the large parking garage adjacent to the classroom building.
Housing is optional and IS NOT included in the price of tuition, but can be arranged as a convenience for students who want to stay close to campus. You can sign up and pay for housing as part of registration.
Housing prices vary by weekend depending on the season. Options range from about $40-75/night depending on the type of bed. Shuttling to and from classes during the weekend, breakfast, and wi-fi are included. Housing is on a first-come, first-served basis and student preferences are not guaranteed. All weekend specific housing details are included in the registration process.
