As the capital city of the United States of America, Washington, DC is a vibrant city that offers history, culture, and a robust social scene. Students of past classes have enjoyed exploring historic neighborhoods such as Georgetown; visiting the Smithsonian museums; touring national monuments and the U.S. Capitol where congressional members meet; learning about the Supreme Court and Library of Congress, watching performances at the Kennedy Center; attending cultural festivals and parades; and volunteering with community members to help DC residents. Outside of the classroom, many students enjoy some of DC’s top restaurants and nightlife.
