What is Au Pair Weekend?
Au Pair Weekend offers educational programs across the United States designed specifically for au pairs with J-1 visas. We have been a leading provider of au pair education for over 18 years, and have served over 50,000 au pairs with our fast, fun and affordable courses!
APW's curriculum was created specifically to suit the needs of au pairs. Our goal is to educate our students in a way that enhances their overall experience of life in the U.S., which is why our courses cover topics like current events, U.S. geography, and how to improve one's English skills.
Our experienced staff members give APW students a high quality education. All of our instructors have Masters degrees or higher, and our teaching artists are all working artists who are experts in their field.

Discover The U.S.
Students explore U.S. history through the lens of an iconic city while also sharing their home country's culture with their au pair classmates. They learn about U.S. geography, politics and cultural identity through excursions, activities, and classroom discussions.
Make a Difference
Created to help au pairs navigate the cultural and personal challenges of living in the U.S. They'll learn about conflict resolution, cultural diversity, and how to interact with people from different backgrounds and life experiences. Students will also participate in a volunteer/service learning project that will connect with with the local community.
English Language Skills for Au Pairs
This course provides an encouraging and engaging space for au pairs to improve their English language proficiency. They'll practice by listening, speaking, reading and writing under the instruction of experienced language teachers who are experts in second language acquisition. Language skills are centered around the everyday needs of au pairs, and like our other courses, this provides an opportunity to explore a unique U.S. city.
Arts & Entertainment
Take an in-depth look at the country's different creative centers! Students will explore the U.S.'s contributions to the arts and channel their own creativity through classroom discussions, excursions, and workshops taught by working industry professionals. Choose from courses like dance, photography, and music. No experience or equipment needed!
