For Spring Semester:

Students have until April 17, 2026 to complete their coursework.​

 

For Summer Semester (May - August):

Registration is open as of April 1, 2026.

​Course opens May 1, 2026.

Receive your completion letter beginning May 8th.

 

All our online courses are self-paced and course content is all pre-recorded (there are no live sessions). That means you can complete the course 100% according to your schedule!

A 36-hour course will take 36 hours to complete, and a 72-hour class will take 72 hours.

 

Offered in collaboration with Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC).

They fulfill the educational requirements for J-1 visa holders.

Important Information

How many online courses can I take per semester?

The U.S. Department of State allows au pairs to take one online course per semester.

How do I earn all 6 credits?

You have a few options. Take one 6-credit online course. Or take a 3-credit online course and a 3-credit in-person course in the same semester. Or take two 3-credit online courses in different semesters.

When are the semesters?

Spring: January to April. Summer: May to August. Fall: September to December.

How do the online courses work?

Our courses are 100% online and self-paced. You can complete them on your own schedule. A 36-hour course takes about 36 hours to finish. A 72-hour course takes about 72 hours.

Are these courses accredited?

Yes. All online courses are offered with Bunker Hill Community College and fulfill the educational requirements for J-1 visa holders.

Should I check with my agency before registering?

Yes. Check with your agency or local area coordinator before registering to make sure you choose the right option.
